Role Overview
We are seeking a Release Manager to own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle for Capital Markets applications. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing releases across multiple technology stacks, ensuring alignment with governance standards and minimizing business impact. The position serves as a central point of contact between development, operations, and business stakeholders in a time-critical trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across Capital Markets applications, including Front Office, Risk, Finance, Regulatory, and Operations systems.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate regular and ad-hoc releases across multiple technology stacks.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL Change Management, CAB processes, and bank governance standards.
- Maintain release calendars and dependency mapping across programs and vendors.
- Act as the central point of contact between development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, security, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Front Office trading desks, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to minimize business impact.
- Ensure releases meet regulatory, audit, and risk control requirements.
- Oversee deployments across DEV, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production environments.
- Track and report release KPIs, such as success rate, rollback incidents, and release frequency.
- Drive continuous improvement in release automation, DevOps practices, and tooling.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience in Release Management within Banking or Capital Markets environments is required. A solid understanding of Capital Markets systems, including trading platforms, risk engines, settlement, and regulatory reporting, is necessary.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or GitLab is needed. Knowledge of ITIL, Change Management, and SDLC methodologies is also required.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Certification is preferred.
- Experience in regulated financial institutions is strongly preferred.
