Summary
We have an immediate need for a Database Administrator with our client. This role focuses on administering and supporting enterprise DB2 databases running on AIX/Unix platforms. The DBA will be responsible for database stability, licensing compliance, system performance, and operational support across critical public safety systems in a hybrid onsite/telework environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with DB2 databases and DB2 licensing using Passport Advantage, along with hands-on administration in AIX/UNIX/Linux environments.
Candidates should have experience with shell scripting, database performance tuning, and operational database support. Experience specifically supporting DB2 on AIX platforms is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable managing enterprise databases, troubleshooting issues, and supporting mission-critical environments.
This role will be responsible for administering DB2 databases, managing DB2 licensing, supporting AIX/UNIX/Linux platforms, and developing shell scripts for automation and maintenance.
