Description Of Services:
The Client is seeking an Ignition SCADA/MES Deployment and Validation Engineer to support the deployment, commissioning, integration, testing, and production readiness of an Ignition-based SCADA/MES solution for a manufacturing environment.

The role will be performed primarily remotely, with required travel to the manufacturing site for plant-floor deployment, commissioning, validation, site acceptance testing, go-live readiness, and hypercare support. Travel is expected to occur approximately two trips per month, with each trip generally lasting a full workweek. Trips are expected to typically occur every other week; however, back-to-back travel may be required based on project needs.

The resource will be responsible for supporting the transition of the Ignition solution from configured and test environments into a validated, production-ready system. This includes verifying system installation, validating integration with plant systems, confirming end-to-end data flow, supporting testing activities, troubleshooting deployment issues, and documenting evidence of correct system behavior.

The resource will work closely with engineering, operations, controls, IT, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure the solution is properly deployed, tested across all required layers, and ready for production use. During onsite travel periods, the resource will provide hands-on plant-floor support for commissioning, testing, manufacturing workflow validation, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support activities.

Deliverables:
The resource will be responsible for providing and/or supporting the following deliverables: Deployment and commissioning of Ignition Gateway, Perspective clients, projects, tags, scripts, and database connections in onsite environments. Validation of end-to-end data flow from PLCs and plant systems through Ignition to historians, MES tables, dashboards, alarms, and reports. Execution of integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing against functional and operational requirements. Site Acceptance Testing support and documentation. Verification of tag configuration, alarming, scripting behavior, database connections, and Perspective screen functionality under real production conditions. Troubleshooting and remediation support for issues related to networking, OPC UA/MQTT connectivity, database access, client performance, security configuration, and plant system integrations. Support for production cutover planning, rollback planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare activities. Documentation of test results, defects, remediation actions, validation evidence, and stakeholder sign-offs. Coordination with onsite manufacturing teams to validate production workflows, production tracking, reporting accuracy, and operational readiness. Support for promotion between environments, including dev/test/prod, as applicable.

Acceptance Criteria:
Services will be considered successfully completed when the following criteria are met: Ignition Gateway, Perspective clients, projects, tags, scripts, and database connections are deployed and operational in the onsite environment. End-to-end data flow is validated from plant systems and PLCs through Ignition to all required downstream systems, including historians, MES tables, dashboards, alarms, and reports. Required integration, system, and UAT test cases have been executed, documented, and reviewed with the appropriate stakeholders. Site Acceptance Testing has been completed, with test results documented and any critical defects identified, triaged, and addressed or formally accepted. Tag configuration, alarming, scripting behavior, security settings, and Perspective screen functionality have been verified in real production or production-like conditions. Database integrity has been validated, including confirmation of data accuracy, schema behavior, stored procedure execution, and data movement across relevant SCADA/MES tables. Manufacturing workflows, production tracking, reporting outputs, and operational dashboards have been validated with onsite business and operations teams. Go-live readiness has been confirmed, including cutover plan review, rollback considerations, stakeholder communication, and hypercare support planning. Defects, remediation actions, testing evidence, and validation results are documented and made available to the Client. The system is confirmed as ready for production use, subject to Client approval and any agreed-upon open items.

The resource should be familiar with industrial protocols and onsite plant integration, including OPC UA, MQTT, PLC connectivity, and manufacturing system interfaces. The resource should have a strong understanding of data modeling, historian systems, and real-time data processing in live manufacturing environments. The resource should have experience with test planning, defect triage, validation documentation, and end-to-end testing of integrated industrial systems. The resource must be able to work onsite with operations, maintenance, controls, engineering, IT, and vendor teams during commissioning, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
