Description
Our client is looking to add someone to their Vendor Management team that has prior experience with software assets and vendor management, specifically experience with software purchases across the enterprise. Ie. Salesforce.com, Ariba, SAP, etc. This is a mix between software asset and vendor management; with heavy concentration in IT.
Job Duties:
Drive software asset lifecycle maturities.
Build expertise in Software Asset technology and custom solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry vendors.
Day to Day:
Facilitate the business needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through suppliers and internal IT and business owners to obtain identified savings.
Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service/subscription offerings.
Collect information for budgeting software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts using company CLM system, and cost. Assit in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors.
Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
Partner with sourced vendors to identify technical solutions and options.
Ensure software remains SOX compliant (from an IT/SAM perspective).
M&A IT software asset & contract consolidations.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
