Our local facility focuses on Product Handling, Raw Material, and Water Conditioning machinery, and we are looking to add a Buyer who can help keep our operation running efficiently by managing supplier relationships, supporting production schedules, and driving strong purchasing outcomes.

Job DetailsKey Responsibilities and Duties:
- Source and procure raw materials, components, and services to support production schedules
- Work closely with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and expedite orders when needed
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to address sourcing challenges
- Negotiate vendor pricing, terms, and contracts
- Review current supplier pricing and benchmark against other vendor options
- Support continuity of supply for manufacturing operations
- Maintain purchasing data and transactions within ERP systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure purchased materials align with operational needs
You should have most of the following:
- 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred
- Strong background in sourcing raw materials, components, and services for production
- Experience working directly with vendors on delivery, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Ability to discover and qualify new suppliers to resolve supply chain challenges
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
