Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Facilities Designer to lead the development of OT (Operational Technology) data centers. The Facilities Designer will conduct site surveys, provide optimal solutions aligned with organizational needs, and deliver physical CAD designs. This role will also help define physical security requirements and drive the end-to-end data center strategy, encompassing planning, engineering, design, construction, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Surveys and Recommendations:

Lead data center site surveys to assess potential locations and infrastructure.

Recommend data center options based on s organizational needs and strategic goals.

CAD Design and Facility Drawings:

Provide detailed CAD-level facility drawings to support data center development and design.

Ensure designs align with physical security requirements and organizational standards.

Data Center Strategy:

Contribute to the end-to-end data center strategy, including planning, engineering, design, construction, and operations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs meet operational and security requirements.

Physical Security Requirements:

Assist in defining and implementing physical security requirements for data center facilities.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for physical security.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in CAD software or related design tools is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities design, with a focus on data center development.
  • Proven experience conducting site surveys and delivering CAD-level facility drawings.
  • Familiarity with physical security requirements for data centers.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of data center planning, engineering, and operations.
  • Understanding of physical security standards and best practices.

Work Environment:

  • This position may require travel to data center sites for surveys and assessments.
  • Hybrid or on-site work arrangements may be available based on project needs.
