ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) Process Consultant
Role Overview
The ServiceNow SPM Strategic Portfolio Management Process Consultant is responsible for assessing, designing, and optimizing portfolio, project, demand, and resource management processes, and translating them into effective ServiceNow SPM solutions. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise portfolio management frameworks and the ability to align business strategy with portfolio and project execution through ServiceNow best practices.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, PMO, and technical teams to design scalable, governance-driven SPM processes that enable strategic decision-making, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Assess and optimize portfolio, project, demand, and resource management processes and map them to ServiceNow SPM capabilities

Define and document business and functional requirements for ServiceNow SPM modules, including:

Design optimized workflows aligned with ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities and industry best practices

Collaborate with technical teams to support configuration, customization, and integration of ServiceNow SPM modules

Support SIT, UAT, training, and deployment activities to ensure successful adoption

Define and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reports for portfolio, program, and project tracking
-
Develop process documentation, functional design specifications, and user training materials

Advise stakeholders on SPM governance models, prioritization frameworks, and strategic alignment of initiatives

Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure alignment of SPM processes with organizational objectives

Support integration with enterprise tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), and financial systems
Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of experience in IT or Business Process Consulting
-
3+ years of hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow SPM / PPM
-
Strong understanding of:

Demand Management

Resource Management
-
Experience configuring and designing processes across ServiceNow SPM modules

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and integrations with tools such as JIRA and ADO

Familiarity with financial planning, budgeting, and cost management within ServiceNow SPM

Proven experience leading workshops, requirements gathering, and process documentation

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Certifications

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) Required

ServiceNow SPM Implementation Specialist Preferred

ITIL, PMP, or PMI-ACP Added advantage
Additional Skills / Nice to Have

Experience with enterprise portfolio governance and strategic planning frameworks
