Job Summary

First National Bank (FNB) is seeking a Data Scientist to support enterprise analytics, predictive modelling, customer intelligence, risk analytics, and business decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage machine learning, statistical analysis, and banking domain expertise to generate actionable insights that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, fraud detection, credit risk assessment, and revenue growth. FNB has a dedicated Data Management and Data Science function supporting enterprise analytics and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models for banking products and services.
Analyze large volumes of customer, transaction, loan, and operational data.
Design and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using BI tools.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, risk teams, finance, marketing, and technology teams.
Perform data cleansing, feature engineering, model validation, and performance monitoring.
Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
Candidates should have experience with:
Retail Banking
Commercial Banking
Consumer Lending
Credit Risk Modelling
Fraud Analytics
Customer Analytics
Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are followed

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python AI/ML model deployment and MLOps.
Knowledge of model governance and explainable AI.
Experience working in regulated financial environments.
Exposure to data governance frameworks and enterprise data management.
