Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a hands-on, development-centric role supporting a firm-wide provider of product and pricing reference data for hundreds of consuming applications across multiple lines of business. The selected candidate will manage all phases of the software development lifecycle to deliver critical technical solutions. This role requires 3 days onsite per week.
Responsibilities: - Analyze business or technical requirements and design solutions to develop business critical components
- Work closely with technical and business partners across the globe
- Responsible for application design, development, delivery, and post-production support
- Enhance existing application stack and act as application manager for some key reference data applications
Requirements: - Core Java
- Oracle SQL / PLSQL
- Python
- J2EE
- Hibernate
Desired skills: - Experience in writing optimized SQL queries
- Good understanding of unit testing concepts
- Strong understanding of software build/release management skills
- Familiarity with development patterns
- Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in building scalable and robust applications
- Agile development experience
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
