Location: Everett, WA 98204

Job Summary

The Digital Analyst II will support the collection, maintenance, and analysis of digital data across web platforms, social media, applications, and marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for defining tracking requirements, administering analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Google Tag Manager), and maintaining tags, conversions, and key metrics.

The analyst will interpret performance data, develop visualizations, deliver actionable insights, and support business decision-making. This role will gather reporting requirements, translate them into user stories, and build interactive dashboards and reports using Looker, Power BI, SQL, and Excel, while ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Digital Data Architecture

  • Maintain a structured approach for collecting, managing, and leveraging digital data to support business objectives.

  • Define tracking requirements across digital platforms such as websites, social media, mobile applications, and marketing campaigns.

  • Configure and manage analytics tools including Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM).

  • Implement tracking tags for marketing campaigns and user experience events.

  • Update filters, conversions, and custom dimensions/metrics based on evolving business needs.


Business Review & Insights

  • Analyze business and digital performance data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.

  • Translate analytical results into clear narratives using data storytelling and visualizations.

  • Lead business review sessions with stakeholders to share insights and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Encourage data-driven decision-making across teams.


Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and document them clearly.

  • Translate business needs into user stories and development tasks for analytics and engineering teams.

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Looker and Power BI.

  • Design visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards for business stakeholders.


Data Analysis

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data to generate actionable insights.

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and performance trends.

  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to interpret digital data.

  • Use tools such as SQL, Looker, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.


Data Governance & Quality

  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy across analytics platforms.

  • Perform data quality checks on analytics tools and reporting products.

  • Maintain documentation for data definitions, processes, and access controls.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security requirements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital or web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HTML).

  • 3+ years of experience querying data in relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle).

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, R, or Python.

  • 2+ years of experience building dashboards or reports using Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools.

  • 1+ year of experience facilitating meetings and presenting analytical insights to stakeholders.

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.


Knowledge Requirements

  • Understanding of digital data collection methods such as events, pixels, and cookies.

  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

  • Basic knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of data validation and quality assurance techniques.


Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to translate business questions into data analysis solutions.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

  • Intermediate data manipulation skills using Excel, SQL, DAX, Python, or R.

  • Strong experience building reports and dashboards in Looker and Power BI.

  • Experience with data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance processes.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly through reports, dashboards, and presentations.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
