Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Workato to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade integration and automation solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable integrations, APIs, workflow automations, and data orchestration solutions that enable seamless business operations.

This is a fully remote opportunity supporting enterprise applications and business-critical integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain integration solutions using Workato.
• Build scalable automation workflows, recipes, and orchestration processes across multiple enterprise systems.
• Integrate cloud, SaaS, and on-premise applications using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Webhooks, JSON, and XML.
• Develop data mapping, transformation, synchronization, and automation processes.
• Implement and support workflow automation for business processes, approvals, notifications, and operational activities.
• Design secure integrations leveraging OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, API Keys, and SSO technologies.
• Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Establish logging, alerting, exception handling, and operational support mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and product teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, release planning, testing, and production deployments.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to integration best practices, standards, and governance.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, middleware, or systems integration.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing integrations using Workato.
• Strong experience with:
  • REST APIs
  • SOAP APIs
  • Webhooks
  • JSON
  • XML
  • Data transformation and mapping
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as:
  • Salesforce
  • Workday
  • NetSuite
  • ServiceNow
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • Similar enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of API security and authentication protocols:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • JWT
  • SAML
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workato Certifications.
• Experience with other iPaaS platforms such as:
  • MuleSoft
  • Boomi
  • Celigo
  • Informatica
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud integration services.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise integration environments.
• Prior experience working with globally distributed teams.
