Summary

Job Title: Lead Java Developer

Experience: 10+ Years
Location:  Dallas, TX
Work Arrangement: Onsite 
Candidate Requirement: Must be local to Dallas, TX. Local candidates only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Java applications.
  • Define technical solutions and application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Provide hands-on development leadership and guide developers on coding standards and best practices.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and distributed applications.
  • Drive microservices architecture, event-driven development, and system integration.
  • Work with Apache Kafka and other messaging technologies.
  • Review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure application quality.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams.
  • Support performance tuning, scalability, security, and application modernization.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17.
  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework.
  • Strong expertise in Microservices architecture and REST API development.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ORM frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with SQL and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Git.
  • Strong debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing highly scalable and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and system architecture.
  • Experience with financial services, banking, or other enterprise domains.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience participating in architecture and technical design reviews.
