Hardware Engineer/ Architect

Role: Principal Hardware Engineer
Location:Newport Beach, Irvine 100% onsite

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of advanced electronic hardware systems. This role is a senior-level technical leadership position responsible for driving complex hardware programs from concept through production.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional collaboration and system-level thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end hardware design and development of complex electronic systems

• Define system architecture, hardware specifications, and design strategies

• Design and review analog, digital, mixed-signal, or RF circuits

• Drive PCB architecture, high-speed layout guidance, and signal integrity validation

• Oversee schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, and validation

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

• Review and approve design documentation and test plans

• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams

• Support product qualification, regulatory compliance, and production ramp

• Resolve high-risk technical issues and lead root cause analysis

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 10+ years of hardware design experience

• Proven experience leading complex hardware projects

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Analog and digital circuit design

  • Power systems

  • High-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, etc.)

  • PCB design principles

  • Signal integrity and power integrity

• Experience with schematic and PCB tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, Mentor)

• Strong debugging and lab validation skills

• Ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of RF or wireless systems

• Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance standards

• Experience with ASIC/FPGA integration

• Background in consumer electronics, automotive, networking, or semiconductor industries
