QA Test Analyst III

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. You will collaborate closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing using various tools and frameworks.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through a defect tracking system, ensuring issues are resolved before release.
  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements for testability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers.
  • Conduct regression and performance testing to ensure existing features remain functional after changes.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing insights and feedback on quality and testing processes.
  • Provide detailed reports and documentation of test results to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role within the software development lifecycle. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is required.

Technical Skills: A strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is necessary. Proficiency in writing comprehensive test plans and test cases is required. Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps and version control systems like Git is expected. Mandatory experience with either C# .NET or Node.js is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Azure Load Resource.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Java or .NET for creating automated test scripts.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing.
Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $45.00 per hour. Specific benefits packages are available to eligible employees.
