Someone who is a highly hands-on Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to build, automate, and operate our AWS-based infrastructure environment. Comfortable operating in challenging environments and able to drive initiatives end-to-end with precision and attention to detail and requires minimal oversight and consistently follows through on commitments.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on infrastructure engineering, automation, and platform development. You will spend the majority of your time working with Terraform, building cloud infrastructure, and improving platform reliability and scalability.

This role also supports and enables the firm's evolving AI initiatives by providing secure, scalable infrastructure for AI-enabled applications. You will partner with application, data, and AI teams to deliver reusable platform capabilities that support both traditional and AI-driven workloads.

Cloud Infrastructure
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, etc.)
    Support multi-account environments using AWS Organizations and security controls
    Design and implement scalable networking and infrastructure patterns
    Deploy and support modern application workloads, including containerized, serverless, and API-driven services

Automation & IaC
  • Develop and maintain Terraform code and reusable modules
    Automate provisioning and operational workflows using scripting and configuration tools
    Integrate infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines
    Continuously improve automation and reduce manual processes

AI Platform Support
  • Support infrastructure for AI-enabled applications (e.g., API-based model access, inference endpoints)
    Help establish scalable and secure patterns for integrating AI services into cloud environments
    Partner with engineering teams to enable safe and efficient use of AI capabilities within platform guardrails

Reliability, Security & Operations
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting
    Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
    Participate in incident response and continuous improvement efforts
    Ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and governance standards
    Support cost optimization and performance tuning

Qualifications

Experience
  • 7+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
    Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
    Experience in regulated environments is a plus

Technical Skills

Core (Required):
Strong Terraform experience
AWS infrastructure (IAM, networking, compute, storage)
Scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals

Preferred:
  • Experience with containers, serverless, or CI/CD pipelines
    Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Experience integrating AI services into applications
    Exposure to observability, FinOps, or advanced automation tooling

Professional Attributes
  • Hands-on builder with a strong engineering mindset
    Focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement
    Comfortable working across teams (engineering, security, operations)
    Curious and adaptable, with interest in emerging technologies including AI

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. In addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a generous profit-sharing contribution, medical, prescription dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; disability coverage; paid holidays; vacation; and sick time, subject to plan terms and Company policies.
