SDET Lead / Automation Test Lead @ New York, NY
Introduction
We are currently seeking a Senior SDET Lead / Automation Test Lead to join our team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Playwright, TypeScript, JAVA, and API testing. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automation testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the automation testing efforts within the team
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript
- Execute automated test cases for both web and mobile applications
- Perform API testing to ensure the functionality and performance of backend services
- Collaborate with developers and QA team to identify test scenarios and improve test coverage
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
- Stay updated on the latest automation testing tools and technologies
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to overall quality assurance processes
Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong experience in automation testing using Playwright and TypeScript
- Proficiency in JAVA programming language
- Hands-on experience with API testing
- Knowledge of mobile testing tools such as Appium
- Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in automation testing tools
- Experience with performance testing
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms
- Previous experience in a leadership role
