Enterprise Systems Administrator

The Enterprise Systems Administrator shall serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Department and will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of enterprise-level server and cloud infrastructure. This position works closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient systems operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of five or more years of Windows Server administration experience, including at least three years administering Windows Server 2016 or newer

• A minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Azure or cloud technologies

• A minimum of two or more years of Amazon Web Services experience

• A minimum of five or more years of Active Directory, Domain Name System, and Group Policy administration in an enterprise environment supporting 1,000 or more users

• A minimum of three or more years of Linux server administration experience

• Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts

• Experience working in virtual server and cloud environments

• Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base

• Experience developing and managing schedules for multiple concurrent projects

• Experience working in Microsoft Azure Government and Amazon Web Services cloud environments

• Experience supporting state government projects

• Experience managing and reporting projects in compliance with Rule 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code

• Experience working collaboratively with technical programming teams

• Demonstrated initiative and a professional, solution-oriented attitude when addressing complex technical challenges

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders

• Knowledge of information technology standards in a criminal justice environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform management and administration activities for Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory

• Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft server and Azure resources

• Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services resources

• Analyze Azure resource performance, identify resource contention, and recommend improvements or upgrades

• Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and system documentation

• Collaborate with Office of Information Technology staff, data center personnel, and users to perform deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes

• Administer and configure Azure infrastructure security for staff and users

• Assist Azure application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate access controls

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows Server issues with minimal impact to users

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact to users

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to monitor server performance and support Active Directory and Azure management activities

• Research and recommend technical solutions that meet functional and operational requirements

• Provide recommendations for process improvements within the Department infrastructure team

• Create and maintain schedules for the development and implementation of software systems

• Perform additional Systems Administrator duties as required by the Department
