Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Integration & Automation Engineer with a strong background in enterprise iPaaS, AI engineering, data integration, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Workato and experience designing scalable enterprise integrations, AI-driven workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

This role requires a blend of integration engineering, AI workflow orchestration, automation development, and data engineering to build reliable, scalable, and intelligent enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Integration & Automation Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Workato recipes, connectors, and enterprise orchestrations across platforms including Salesforce, NetSuite, Slack, and Snowflake.
• Implement reusable integration patterns, observability, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Build scalable API-driven automation solutions supporting enterprise business processes.

Agentic AI System Design

• Architect and develop multi-agent AI systems including:
  • Tool selection frameworks
  • Planning loops
  • State management
  • Human-in-the-loop workflows
• Transform enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, and Slack into agent-accessible tools rather than passive data sources.
• Implement AI guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and recovery strategies for non-deterministic workflows.

Data Engineering & RAG Pipeline Development

• Design and automate ETL/ELT and Reverse-ETL pipelines supporting both analytics and AI retrieval use cases.
• Own end-to-end RAG architecture including:
  • Data ingestion
  • Chunking strategies
  • Embedding pipelines
  • Vector databases
  • Retrieval optimization
  • Re-ranking systems
• Build evaluation frameworks measuring precision, answer quality, latency, and operational cost.
• Implement data enrichment, validation, governance, and quality assurance processes.

AI Operations & Observability

• Monitor production AI systems including prompt/response tracing, evaluation dashboards, and cost optimization.
• Document agent behaviors, decision-making logic, and failure patterns.
• Conduct A/B testing for model performance, agent versions, and workflow optimization.

Programming & Automation

• Develop modular and reusable scripts using Python, Ruby, SQL, or JavaScript for:
  • Data transformation
  • Workflow automation
  • Enterprise integrations
  • AI orchestration tasks

Governance & Documentation

• Apply enterprise data governance standards for lineage, security, compliance, and retention.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and workflow documentation using GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI engineering, integration engineering, automation engineering, software engineering, or data engineering.
• Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience with Workato.
• Strong experience with enterprise iPaaS platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, or similar technologies.
• Expertise integrating enterprise systems including Salesforce, NetSuite, Slack, and Snowflake.
• Strong background in:
  • ETL/ELT
  • Reverse ETL
  • Data modeling
  • SQL/T-SQL
  • API integrations
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with vector databases including Pinecone, Snowflake Cortex Search, and pgvector.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and enterprise AI workflow implementation.
• Experience leveraging APIs to build scalable enterprise-grade integrations.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence/Lucidchart.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and independent execution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong architectural knowledge of Snowflake, Salesforce, and NetSuite ecosystems.
• Experience designing enterprise AI automation frameworks and governance models.
• Workato Automation Pro, SnowPro, or related certifications.
• Proven ability to introduce AI innovation while maintaining enterprise reliability, governance, and scalability.
