Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Transformation Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Addison, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Newark, DE. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is part of the Operational Datastores and Real-time data Replication team, focused on designing, developing, modernizing, and supporting enterprise-scale data integration and transformation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) v4.5, IBM DataStage, Oracle, and DB2 to migrate and optimize critical data processing workloads for a major technology migration program.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale data integration and transformation solutions
- Migrate, optimize, and support critical data processing workloads while ensuring scalability, resiliency, performance, and data integrity
- Handle a mix of a "Never Down" program and an End-of-Life technology migration program involving IBM Cloudpak 4 Data
Requirements: - 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration
- Strong expertise in IBM DataStage development
- Hands-on experience with IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) Version 4.5
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming skills
- Strong experience with Oracle, DB2 database platforms
- Strong background in data transformation and data engineering
- Significant experience with Data Modeling
- Experience designing and supporting large-scale batch processing environments
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data validation skills
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Familiarity with CDC (Change Data Capture) technologies
Desired skills: - Experience in a fast-paced Agile Development Environment
- Experience with Cloud
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with data replication, CDC, and real-time integration technologies
- Experience supporting mission-critical financial or enterprise data platforms
- Knowledge of data governance, SOX controls, and audit requirements
- Experience with Cockroach or MemSQL is a plus
- Experience with Python-based scripting is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate is a plus
- Knowledge of Git-Hub Copilot will be an added plus
Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hour
