Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

Location- Remote

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases while supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c or higher).
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and ensure data integrity.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
• Handle database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Ensure database security, user access control, and compliance with policies.
• Support development teams with database design, SQL tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or other tools.
• Manage storage, tablespaces, and database growth effectively.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide 24/7 support when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6–10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Oracle Database Administration (installation, configuration, upgrades)
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • RMAN backup and recovery
  • Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios, etc.).
