Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, administer, and support Azure cloud infrastructure, database, networking, messaging, and platform services. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cache Services, Azure networking, identity and access management, infrastructure as code, and database administration.
The candidate will also support cloud modernization, automation, performance optimization, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and enterprise production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and support Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Administer and support Azure Cosmos DB, including NoSQL database environments, performance optimization, availability, and troubleshooting.
- Work with Azure Event Hubs and Azure messaging services for enterprise event streaming and integration.
- Configure and support Azure Cache Services, including Azure Cache for Redis.
- Work with both relational and NoSQL databases in Azure environments.
- Design and support Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, connectivity, and network security.
- Administer Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) / Microsoft Entra ID, including identity and access management.
- Implement and manage Managed Identities and secure access to Azure resources.
- Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Implement and support backup and recovery strategies for Azure services and databases.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
- Perform database administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support integration with Kafka, OpenShift, and container platforms.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
- Implement cloud security, encryption, access management, and compliance controls.
- Support platform modernization initiatives and migration of legacy workloads to Azure.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and cloud automation tools.
- Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning and optimization.
- Provide enterprise production operations support, incident troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Ensure cloud platforms comply with regulated environment governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with application, database, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues.
