Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Compute Architect to lead enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives across datacenter, virtualization, container platforms, and hybrid cloud ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux/Unix platform engineering, VMware virtualization, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery architecture.

This role focuses on designing scalable, resilient, cloud-ready compute platforms supporting mission-critical enterprise workloads.

  • Define reference architectures for:
    • Compute
    • Storage
    • Backup & recovery
    • Disaster recovery
  • Design scalable multi-site environments supporting Tier 0 / Tier 1 applications
  • Drive infrastructure modernization and transformation strategy

Kubernetes & Container Platform Engineering

  • Architect and deploy enterprise Kubernetes platforms including:
    • Standalone Kubernetes clusters
    • Red Hat OpenShift environments
  • Design:
    • Multi-cluster architectures
    • High availability container platforms
    • Auto-scaling environments
    • Workload isolation models
  • Define:
    • Namespace architecture
    • Resource quotas
    • Multi-tenant governance frameworks
  • Lead migration initiatives from:
    • VM-based infrastructure
    • Legacy application platforms
      to containerized microservices ecosystems
  • Integrate Kubernetes platforms with:
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Monitoring solutions
    • Logging platforms

OpenShift Platform Architecture

  • Lead OpenShift architecture and cluster design
  • Design resilient multi-zone OpenShift environments
  • Enable enterprise-scale container platform adoption
  • Build self-service developer platforms to improve engineering agility

Linux / Unix Platform Engineering

  • Architect enterprise RHEL / Unix infrastructure environments
  • Standardize:
    • OS build strategies
    • Patch management
    • Security compliance
    • Lifecycle management
  • Optimize Linux/Unix platforms for:
    • High performance
    • Stability
    • Workload efficiency

VMware Virtualization

  • Design and optimize VMware infrastructure using:
    • vSphere
    • ESXi
    • vCenter
    • DRS
    • HA
    • vMotion
  • Lead:
    • Virtualization modernization
    • Legacy workload consolidation
    • Migration strategies toward container platforms

Storage Architecture

  • Design enterprise storage solutions using:
    • IBM FlashSystem

    • IBM replication technologies
  • Support persistent storage architectures for:
    • Kubernetes
    • OpenShift
    • CSI integrations

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Design backup and recovery architectures using:
    • Rubrik

    • Ransomware-resilient recovery architectures
    • Policy-driven DR frameworks
  • Lead:
    • DR testing
    • RTO/RPO compliance validation

Automation & Modernization

  • Drive infrastructure automation initiatives using:
