We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and a background in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, developing and implementing program strategies, and leading cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to make a significant impact on our organization and contribute to our mission of providing top-tier engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex engineering projects within the Department of Defense industry, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and implement program strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, effectively managing all stages of the project life cycle.
- Collaboratively lead cross-functional teams, fostering a positive team environment that encourages innovation and growth.
- Work closely with client stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, issues, and successes.
- Lead process creation and documentation, ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and workshops to drive project progress and stakeholder alignment.
- Continuously improve project management tools and processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the Department of Defense (DoD) industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and financial forecasting.
- Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with client stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in process creation and documentation.
- Proficient in project management software tools.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of the work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as needed.
