The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Simulation Integration Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, California. The individual selected will develop, document and maintain hardware and simulation software, algorithms, interfaces, and test plans based upon defined requirements.

In this role you will develop and maintain code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system and perform system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.

We are looking for someone that is a proactive self-starter who communicates effectively, works well in a team environment, and is eager to learn and apply best practices in simulation, integration, and verification.

The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to Southern California Aeronautical System Integration & Test (ASIT) program deliverables for multiple airplane programs. The scope of responsibility includes simulation system design, integration and sustaining support of System Integration Labs (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulators (HILS), and Flight Management System (FMS) Labs. A strong background in software systems, networks, debugging, and electrical engineering is preferred.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including a Lead and Senior level Simulation Integration Engineer.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic, electrical system, and I/O requirements on complex multi-tiered projects
• Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
• Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met
• Works with others to develop program test strategies
• Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership
• Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
• Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs
• Makes recommendations for technology investments
• Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years of Software architecture definition, requirements generation, verification planning, and system validation
• 3+ years of experience in code development and build release
• 2+ years of experience leading a team in the development of new architecture systems and software
• 2+ years of experience in customer-facing role, leading presentations
• Experience leading major milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Experience developing software regression and qualification tests

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 5: 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active U.S. clearance (a clearance that has been active within the
• Advanced degree in systems, software engineering, or computer engineering
• Demonstrated innovation in test bench architecture solutions
