Remote - PeopleSoft Business Analyst - Higher Education

Client is seeking a senior Business Analyst to support the design and implementation of risk-based authentication within PeopleSoft HCM. This role bridges business, policy, and system design to ensure secure authentication while maintaining compliance, operational readiness, and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate Client business, labor, privacy, and operational requirements into clear PeopleSoft HCM functional requirements
• Define and document:
• Risk-based authentication rules
• Exception handling scenarios
• Consent and user messaging flows
• Design Employee Services support models, including:
• Escalation paths
• Support scripts
• Training requirements
• Staffing assumptions tied to authentication outcomes
• Implement approved PeopleSoft HCM page changes and business rules supporting:
• Authentication validations
• Exception handling
• Collaborate closely with testing teams to:
• Clarify requirements
• Resolve defects
• Support release readiness

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep PeopleSoft HCM functional expertise with strong Client business knowledge
• Hands-on experience with:
• Direct Deposit
• Contact Details
• Security Questions
• Onboarding and employee self-service flows
• Strong understanding of how authentication impacts:
• Payroll
• Benefits
• Employee access to legally required information
• Proven ability to design operationally viable support and exception models
• Excellent facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
• End-to-end experience supporting identity and authentication initiatives in PeopleSoft HCM
