Position Overview

The client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the migration of legacy applications built on Oracle APEX into the Salesforce ecosystem.

The consultant will be responsible for analyzing current business applications, identifying gaps between existing functionality and Salesforce capabilities, and designing/building scalable Salesforce solutions.

This role requires strong experience in Salesforce development, administration, customization, integration, and deployment across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities

Legacy System Migration

• Analyze existing Oracle APEX applications and business workflows
• Design migration strategy from Oracle APEX to Salesforce
• Map legacy business processes into Salesforce architecture
• Identify dependencies, integrations, and migration risks

Requirements & Gap Analysis

• Work with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams
• Gather functional and technical requirements
• Perform gap analysis between current systems and Salesforce capabilities
• Propose scalable solutions for missing functionality

Salesforce Development

• Develop custom solutions using:
• Apex
• Visualforce
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Lightning Aura Components
• SOQL/SOSL
• Build custom objects, workflows, flows, validation rules, and triggers

Configuration & Administration

• Configure Salesforce orgs based on business requirements
• Manage:
• Users
• Profiles
• Permission Sets
• Role Hierarchy
• Sharing Rules

Environment Management

• Design and maintain:
• Development
• QA/Test
• UAT
• Production environments
• Handle deployments using:
• Change Sets
• Salesforce DX
• CI/CD tools

Testing & Support

• Perform unit testing and system integration testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Optimize system performance and scalability

Required Experience

Client is looking for someone with:

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years in Salesforce Administration
• 7+ years in Salesforce Development
• 5+ years with:
• Apex
• Visualforce
• Lightning Components / LWC
• 5+ years Salesforce configuration experience
• 5+ years troubleshooting Salesforce applications
• 3+ years in security/user access management
• 5+ years unit testing

Preferred

• Experience migrating from Oracle APEX
• Public sector or state government experience
• Experience with integrations/API work
• Salesforce certifications
