Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Decision Systems Engineer with expertise in crafting and executing decision-making logic within the context of our Decision Engine. This individual will be charged with the development of rules-based and eligibility-based decision modules that are not only deterministic but also transparent and adhere to regulatory guidelines. The position entails creating and nurturing decision algorithms through the use of decision management systems (e.g., Drools or similar), linking these algorithms seamlessly with backend decision support systems developed using Node.js and/or Python, and merging rule-based decisions with machine learning insights to generate optimized Next Best Action resolutions. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in converting business and compliance mandates into structured, verifiable decision logic, grasp the importance of audit trails and clarity in regulated frameworks, and be skilled in the production and delivery of decision-making components that offer both swift response times and dependable scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and refine decision-making protocols based on rule engines or decision tables like Drools.
2. Integration of rules systems with backend services crafted in Node.js and/or Python.
3. Align decision-making processes with machine learning outputs to derive comprehensive Next Best Action solutions.
4. Interpret and encode business and regulatory guidelines into well-documented, version-controlled, and testable decision logic.
5. Ensure the decision components are audit-ready, transparent, and meet regulatory compliance standards.
6. Deliver decision-making elements that are primed for high-performance execution and are designed to scale effectively.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing decision logic within rules engines or decision tables.
- Skilled in coding and system integration using languages like Node.js and Python.
- Ability to balance rule-based logic with machine learning applications for decision making.
- Experience in transforming complex regulatory and business requirements into executable decision logic.
- Commitment to creating decision systems that are both auditable and interpretable, catering to regulated industries' needs.
- A track record of designing high-speed, scalable decision components ready for live production use.
