Job Location: San Jose, CA

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $62.00hr - $67.00hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Hands-On SAP / E2Open Operations Engineer to dive deep into daily production triage, incident resolution, and technical system maintenance. This is an execution-focused, senior technical role responsible for directly configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting the integration pipelines between SAP and E2Open environments, ensuring zero disruption to live workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Triage & Incident Resolution: Personally lead the investigation, debugging, and resolution of L2 issues in SAP (PP, MM, SD, or QM) and E2Open. Directly inspect IDocs, error logs, queues, and payload structures to fix broken interfaces.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure, test, and deploy workflow adjustments, master data updates, mapping changes, and interface enhancements within SAP and E2Open platforms.
  • Integration Monitoring & Health Checks: Actively monitor daily data feeds, EDI/API transmissions, and batch jobs between internal ERP systems and external silicon foundries/suppliers; proactively remediate pipeline failures.
  • Root-Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform hands-on technical deep dives into recurring operational failures, writing scripts or SQL queries to analyze data discrepancies and implementing permanent code or configuration fixes.
  • Runbook & Script Automation: Develop and continuously improve technical runbooks, automated alert scripts, and diagnostic tools to streamline future triage processes.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on technical configuration and support experience in SAP supply chain modules (PP, MM, SD) and supply chain integration platforms, specifically E2Open.
  • Industry Background: Strong background in semiconductor or silicon manufacturing operations (understanding wafer fab data structures, fab-to-supplier messaging, and manufacturing execution touchpoints).
  • Technical Stack: Deep working knowledge of SAP IDocs, PI/PO or CPI, APIs, Web Services, and database querying/scripting (SQL). Ability to read and troubleshoot message mappings and translation scripts.
  • Execution Style: A proactive mindset with a proven track record of directly solving complex technical and data synchronization problems in high-pressure manufacturing environments.
  • Location: United States preferred to align closely with regional operations and IT support windows.
