UX Researcher

Role: UX Researcher
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:
The UX Researcher will lead end-to-end research initiatives, from planning through execution, across complex product areas to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs. This role defines and prioritizes research questions that guide high-impact product decisions throughout the product lifecycle. The researcher translates ambiguous problems into structured research plans using appropriate methodologies and collaborates closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to uncover insights that inform product discovery and roadmap decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative research such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, and diary studies
• Generate actionable insights and recommendations that influence product design, strategy, and business decisions
• Present research findings through clear and compelling storytelling tailored for audiences ranging from designers to senior leadership
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to integrate research into product development
• Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to translate insights into product opportunities
• Advocate for the user perspective while promoting accessibility, inclusivity, and strong research practices
• Help improve research maturity within the organization through training, frameworks, and process improvements
• Contribute to research operations, knowledge management, and best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX research experience leading complex, high-impact research initiatives
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and product strategy through research insights

Key Skills

• Strong experience with qualitative methods such as interviews, ethnographic research, and usability testing
• Experience with quantitative research methods including surveys, A/B testing, and statistical analysis
• Solid understanding of behavioral science principles, UX heuristics, and user psychology
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights
• Systems thinking with an understanding of how user experience impacts product and business outcomes
• Experience developing personas, journey maps, segmentation models, and opportunity frameworks
• Excellent presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills
• Comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders and working in ambiguous problem spaces
