Description
We are looking for a Full Stack .NET Developer to join a team in Ankeny, Iowa on a Long-term Contract basis. This position is well suited for a developer who is comfortable working with minimal supervision while building and enhancing applications in the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework, along with a practical understanding of sound application architecture and development standards.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
Develop new application components from the ground up, with an emphasis on clean structure, scalability, and maintainability.
Create and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework to support reliable application performance.
Work independently to manage development tasks, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-quality code with limited day-to-day oversight.
Apply established architecture principles and coding protocols to ensure consistency across solutions.
Produce clear technical documentation and explain design decisions to support team alignment and future maintenance.
Evaluate implementation options and provide thoughtful recommendations to technical leadership based on project needs.
Contribute to web and application development efforts involving .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, and related platforms where needed.
Requirements
3+ years of software development experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
Hands-on experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC Framework.
Proficiency in Entity Framework for application data modeling and database interaction.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a self-directed development environment.
Understanding of common software architecture patterns and best practices for application design.
Experience writing well-documented, maintainable code and following defined development procedures.
Familiarity with .NET Framework and exposure to .NET MAUI is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to share technical guidance and make informed recommendations.
