Job Details

Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience in materials joining engineering, with brazing as a primary technical specialty.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with brazing of dissimilar material combinations, including metals, ceramics, or composites.
Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of filler metals, flux systems, atmosphere furnace brazing, and torch/induction brazing processes.
Drawings & GD&T: Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings per ASME Y14.5 and identifying manufacturability concerns related to joining processes.
Production Transition Experience: Demonstrated success taking joining processes from prototype/R&D phase into repeatable serial production.
Problem Solving: Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills tied to real production joint failures.
Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to production personnel, customers, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments; familiarity with AMS, AWS, MIL-spec brazing standards, AS9100, and NADCAP systems.
