About the Role

Seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to support commercial architecture projects from concept development through construction documentation. This role will be responsible for producing complete drawing packages, developing BIM/Revit models, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting retail and commercial development programs.

The ideal candidate is a production-focused architectural professional with 4-10 years of commercial retail architecture experience who can independently develop construction documents, navigate building codes, and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce complete permit and construction document packages for commercial building projects.
  • Develop architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and project-specific documentation.
  • Create, maintain, and update Revit/BIM models throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Support design development, space planning, site adaptation, and project detailing.
  • Assist with multi-site commercial development programs and retail rollout projects.
  • Apply building codes, client standards, and architectural best practices.
  • Participate in project meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Support BIM workflows and maintain documentation standards.
  • Assist with construction administration and respond to field-related design questions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-10 years of architectural design experience within a commercial architecture or A/E environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing complete construction document packages.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building systems, construction methods, and detailing.
  • Knowledge of building codes and permitting requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting retail, grocery, restaurant/QSR, hospitality, healthcare, education, or commercial development projects.
  • Experience working on prototype-based and multi-site programs.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows, Revit family creation, and model management.
  • Experience supporting renovation and ground-up construction projects.
  • Experience working with large-scale national retail brands.
  • Prior experience within an Architecture & Engineering (A/E) firm.

  • Strong production-oriented designer capable of generating high-quality construction documents with minimal oversight.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting ground-up, remodel, renovation, and prototype-based commercial projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project coordination skills.
  • Retail project experience highly preferred.
  • Interested in long-term growth into Project Architect, Project Manager, or leadership roles.
