Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Graph Data Engineer / SPARQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize semantic graph-based solutions for telecom network data. The role focuses on leveraging SPARQL, RDF, and OWL to model complex network relationships, integrate with OSS/BSS systems, and enable real-time data processing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in graph databases, semantic web technologies, and telecom service fulfillment domains.
Required Experience
4-6 years of overall experience
Strong background in SQL and data engineering
Hands-on experience with graph databases and semantic web technologies
Must-Have Technical Skills
SPARQL - Advanced query writing and optimization
RDF & OWL - Semantic web standards and ontology modeling
Graph Databases - Experience with Stardog, Neo4j, or similar
SQL - Strong proficiency in relational database queries
Python - Data processing, scripting, and automation
JavaScript - Data visualization and front-end integration
EXFO Ontology (PRONTO) - Familiarity with telecom-specific ontologies
Domain Knowledge (Telecom)
Telecom Network Architecture - Understanding of network layers, topologies, and protocols
Service Fulfillment - Provisioning and activation workflows
OSS/BSS Integration - Experience with Operations Support Systems and Business Support Systems
CMDB - Configuration Management Database concepts and implementation
Network Inventory - Management of physical and logical network assets
Event-Driven Architectures - Experience with Kafka and real-time data streaming
REST APIs - Design, development, and integration of RESTful services
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop semantic graph models using RDF, OWL, and SPARQL
Build and optimize graph database solutions using Stardog, Neo4j, or similar platforms
Integrate graph-based solutions with OSS/BSS systems and network inventory platforms
Develop data pipelines for real-time and event-driven processing using Kafka
Create data visualizations and dashboards using JavaScript and Python
Collaborate with telecom domain experts to model network relationships and service fulfillment workflows
Optimize SPARQL queries for performance and scalability
Document data models, ontologies, and integration processes
Support EXFO Ontology (PRONTO) implementation and customization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with telecom service activation and provisioning systems
Knowledge of network inventory and CMDB best practices
Familiarity with additional graph query languages or triplestores
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and DevOps practices
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
