Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Test & Validation Engineer to function as the Product Owner for Test for a long-term W2 contract role in Tucson, AZ.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the overall test strategy and validation campaign. This position is not focused on manual execution, but on ownership of test vision, backlog, and quality governance.
Mandatory Requirement:
Candidates must have experience working in FDA / FAA regulated environments OR Medical Device industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive overall test strategy for hardware-integrated software systems
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into structured validation plans
- Own and manage team backlog, including user story definition and prioritization
- Coordinate cross-functional dependencies for PI and iteration planning
- Approve features and user stories based on acceptance criteria and Definition of Done
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote built-in quality practices
- Present technical validation results to internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing & Validation
- Strong experience testing hardware-integrated systems
- Experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments OR Medical Device domain (Mandatory)
- Experience functioning as Test Product Owner, Test Lead, or Test Strategy Owner
- Strong understanding of Agile / SAFe methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills

The national base pay range below is a good-faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $55 - $75 per hour on W2.
