Mechanical Technician to assist with assembly, inventory management, material handling, and laboratory organization in a prototype environment.
Job Duties
- Support prototype assembly operations through kitting, material preparation, and part movement.
- Build and assemble high-voltage distribution systems and low-voltage wire harnesses following standardized work instructions.
- Assist with inventory management, documentation, and bill of materials (BOM) verification.
- Perform instrumentation support activities, including thermocouple (TC) creation and inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe prototype lab using 5S and EHS best practices.
- Disassemble and scrap end-of-life electronic components to support inventory control.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support prototype builds and testing activities.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic components, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, dependable, and comfortable working in a dynamic laboratory environment.
