Examples of Duties Under close supervision, performs routine professional engineering work under the guidance of a licensed engineer, work included but not limited to the following:
- Improves the engineered infrastructure for Baltimore County working with teams of engineers in the Sewer Design section.
- Assists in the feasibility assessment, design, technical review and project management of capital sanitary sewer engineering projects, including the drafting and reviewing of plans, determination of right-of-way requirements, writing of special provisions, preparation of construction estimates, review of consultant design plans, and grading plans
- Assists in the performance of GIS work and computer-aided drafting and design of engineering drawings, plans, and projects.
- Assists in the preparation of engineering reports and technical studies.
- Prepares, submits, and/or assists consultants with applications for various permits required for capital improvement projects.
- Participates in meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers, citizens, and others. Prepares correspondence related to projects.
- Meets with field personnel on-site.
- Works with citizens and community groups to resolve complaints concerning sewer projects

Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering,
ORPossession of a certificate of registration as an Engineer in Training issued by a State within the United States of America.
Preferred Qualifications:College coursework, internships, and/or work experience in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
Licenses and Certificates Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license may be required for some positions at the time of appointment.

SalaryAnnual Salary review - Step increases may be granted on anniversary date based on satisfactory job performance
