Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (Exelon Experience Required)

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Hybrid Tues, Wed, Thurs Onsite)
Alternate Location: Baltimore, MD (Local PECO/MOB candidates considered)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension Possible)
Start Date: ASAP / July 6, 2026

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and manage multiple strategic Customer & Corporate Platforms (C&CP) initiatives within Exelon. This role requires a seasoned project management professional who can immediately contribute with minimal ramp-up time and effectively navigate Exelon processes, systems, standards, and governance frameworks.

Prior Exelon experience is strongly preferred, including former Exelon employees, contractors, or retirees who are familiar with PM360 standards, Customer IT processes, and Exelon application environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple IT projects from initiation through execution and closure.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and governance activities.
• Drive project planning, initiation, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure adherence to Exelon PM360 methodologies, standards, and project governance requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations.
• Provide regular status updates, executive reporting, and project health assessments.
• Manage project financials, delivery milestones, dependencies, and vendor engagements.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and decision-making sessions.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Senior IT Project Management experience leading enterprise-scale IT initiatives.
• Prior Exelon experience (recent experience highly preferred).
• PMP Certification (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Required.
• Strong expertise in project planning, initiation, execution, governance, and delivery management.
• Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Strong understanding of IT applications, infrastructure, and enterprise delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Exelon's Customer & Corporate Platforms (C&CP) organization.
• Familiarity with PM360 standards, processes, and governance.
• Experience supporting customer-facing and corporate applications.
• Knowledge of Exelon applications such as:
  • PECO Success
  • Contact Me Application
  • PHI Website
  • Supplier Portal Environments
• Experience leading web portal, digital platform, or customer-facing application projects.
• Exposure to ServiceNow implementations and customer service platforms.
• Understanding of Oracle Service Cloud (ERMS) environments is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proven Senior IT Project Manager with recent Exelon experience who can quickly integrate into Exelon systems, processes, and project teams. Candidates with prior experience supporting PECO Success, Contact Me, Customer IT, or C&CP initiatives will be highly prioritized.
