Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Developer to lead the design, development, and governance of low-code and automation solutions while building and supporting enterprise-grade applications and database environments. This hybrid role combines Power Platform development with SQL database expertise to deliver scalable business solutions, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure services, APIs, and third-party systems.
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
Create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and ETL processes.
Design enterprise-grade data models and implement secure integrations between Power Platform solutions and SQL databases.
Establish and maintain governance, application lifecycle management (ALM), and environment management strategies for Power Platform solutions.
Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and availability across applications and database environments.
Troubleshoot application issues, workflow failures, integration challenges, and database performance problems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution diagrams, architecture designs, and operational procedures.
Support modernization, automation, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SQL Server.
Expertise in T-SQL development, query optimization, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning.
Experience managing SQL Server environments, including on-premises and/or Azure SQL deployments.
Strong understanding of data governance, security roles, permissions, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
Experience integrating databases with APIs, cloud-based applications, and third-party platforms.
Ability to analyze business requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Power Platform certification (PL-400 or higher preferred).
Experience with Power BI, Dataflows, and enterprise reporting solutions.
Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Experience with Azure services, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and application lifecycle management best practices.
