Sheridan MN is looking for a detailed oriented, motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player working on our newest printing press ? performing a variety of tasks including set-up, loading paper and recording production data.
This is a 3rd shift position - working Monday - Thursday nights, 7 PM - 7 AM with potential for overtime hours.
What You?ll Do:
- Ensure paper is loaded, and all plates, stock, ink, and proofs for the next job are at the press before previous job is completed.
- Empty waste ink, chemical containers, and soiled rag containers daily.
- Monitor pH and conductivity of fountain solution on presses.
- Ensure work produced exceeds quality guidelines.
- Accurately record production data on job tickets, load slips etc.
- Work with Press Operator to ensure preventive maintenance is performed each week.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Able to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, job tickets, and procedure manuals.
- Understand basic math.
- Able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Two years+ in trade on similar equipment.
- Graphic arts and/or technical school background.
- Ability to read a ruler.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing ? up to 12 hours per shift.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
- Hearing protection and safety toe shoes required.
