Software Engineer III

Position Summary

The Software Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications that solve complex business and technical challenges. This role works closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle and is expected to independently own features and solutions from concept through deployment.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled software engineer with strong experience in C#, .NET, REST API development, and GitHub-based source control practices. They possess a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications and services.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and application integrations.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following established engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and support materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues across multiple environments.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Estimate development effort and contribute to project planning activities.
• Support software deployments, upgrades, and production releases.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate within an Agile development environment and participate in all Agile ceremonies.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to technology, tools, and development processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting REST APIs.
• Experience using GitHub for source control, branching, code reviews, and collaboration.
• Experience developing and consuming web services and application integrations.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
