Senior Full Stack Software Engineer 

Location: 2 days onsite in Celebration, FL

Contract: W2 only, 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI

Pay: $70-75/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the modernization of a large-scale operational platform that manages user workflows, registration, messaging, reporting, real-time visibility, and integrations with enterprise systems.

This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role with a primary focus on Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js development while also contributing to Java-based backend services within a modern cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack application features.
• Build and maintain Angular-based user interfaces and Node.js REST APIs.
• Contribute to Java/Spring Boot services when functionality spans multiple application layers.
• Develop scalable, configuration-driven solutions supporting multiple deployment environments.
• Implement and maintain real-time functionality using WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization solutions using enterprise SSO technologies.
• Design and maintain REST API contracts and technical documentation.
• Support database design, data persistence, and schema migrations.
• Partner with DevOps teams to support containerized deployments, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, testing initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Maintain high standards around security, performance, reliability, and code quality.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years operating in a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead capacity.
• Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and RxJS.
• Experience building and supporting Node.js REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot development.
• Experience with RESTful services, API design, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including MySQL, MariaDB, or equivalent.
• Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT authentication, and enterprise SSO solutions.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or similar containerized deployment platforms.
• Familiarity with WebSocket technologies and real-time application development.
• Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, security best practices, and code quality standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience with Redis, event-driven architectures, and real-time messaging systems.
• Experience developing hybrid mobile applications.
• Experience integrating with enterprise applications and third-party systems.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, observability platforms, and application monitoring.
• Experience with NGINX and multi-service development environments.
• Performance testing and production support experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Required Education 

• Bachelor's Degree or 17 years of experience
