QC and Media Technician

A globally leading consumer device company based in Culver City, CA is looking for QC and Media Technician to join their Original Content Services group, to oversee the creation, QC and processing of branded original content.

The Original Content Services team focuses on creating the premiere video experience for all content types, with impact throughout the industry, for a worldwide digital audience. This team closely partners with developers to oversee integration efforts related to to our platforms & services, along with supporting localization, accessibility, quality control and more.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform master-level QC of various audio and picture assets for branded original content. Generate and distribute QC reports for these assets.
Create deliverables for archival, distribution and servicing activity.
Provide editorial services as required to ensure compliance within all territories where original content is released.
Screen content for various cultural sensitivities and generate S&P reports.
Create and maintain SOP workflow documentation.
Input and maintain asset availability data within internal order management system.
Evaluate and provide feedback to assist with the evolution of current workflows.
Communication of technical information and ability to tailor messaging to target audience.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years experience as a QC or Media Operator within the Media & Entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Mastering or Post Production Operations at a Studio, Television, or Mastering facility.
Strong knowledge of feature and episodic post-production/finishing workflows.
Familiar with creating, analyzing and troubleshooting master-level QC reports for Audio and Video assets.
Meticulous attention to detail and a desire to consistently strive for perfection.
Practical understanding of Audio/Video containers, codecs and file format - including HDR (both Dolby Vision and HDR-10) and Dolby Atmos.
Proficient operational understanding of various Mastering and NLE software programs, including ColorFront Transkoder + QC Player, ProTools, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Familiar with the creation of S&P reports to flag potential cultural sensitivities within content.
Familiarity with domestic and localized International versioning (version control - multiple languages and picture text types).
Functional awareness of post-production A/V infrastructure (signal routing, cabling, ethernet, KVM).
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
Exceptional project management skills, and be able to manage and communicate realtime asset availability to key stakeholders.
Collaborative, organized and a team player.
Work well under pressure and with tight turnaround times.
Ability to manage multiple expectations in a fast paced environment and make decisions independently.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture.
College education preferred.

Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with extension

Pay range: $ 44.00 - $ 59.00 (DOE)
