IT Technician

Description

Configure, maintain, control, troubleshoot and monitor the facilities MES shop floor software, database and related production systems software and hardware.
Support and maintain Microsoft Windows server environments and related infrastructure.
Assist with the administration and support of Local Area Networks (LAN), wireless networks, and connected devices.
Monitor system performance and availability
Provide technical support for plant IT infrastructure, production systems, and end-user computing environments.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and manufacturing system issues using logical and analytical problem-solving methods.
to ensure uninterrupted business and production operations.
Create and maintain SQL queries, reports, and database-related solutions to support operational requirements.
Assist with software deployments, system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate and support IT projects, system implementations, and equipment installations.
Follow and enforce corporate IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity requirements.
Participate in on-call support rotations and provide off-shift support as needed.
Document troubleshooting activities, system changes, and technical procedures.
Work independently or with Corporate IT and business stakeholders to quickly resolve issues and implement technology solutions.
May be required to support both the Troy and Auburn Hills locations
Provide technical guidance and training to users as required

Position Requirements

Education
Associate degree (2-year degree) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering,
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Technology support role.
Effective problem solver
Experience troubleshooting production floor systems and related technologies.
Effective communicator (written, spoken, peers, operators, managers)
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, networking, and databases
Preferred
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environments.
Experience troubleshooting production floor systems and related technologies.
Highly proficient in use of Office 365 applications
Proficient in use of Microsoft SQL Database and Microsoft Windows servers
2+ years Cisco Network administration experience
