Summary

We are looking for Technical Support Analyst 2 for our client in Petersburg, VA.

Job Title: Technical Support Analyst 2

Job Location: Petersburg, VA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $20.00hr - $25.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Enterprise Audiovisual Systems Support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting, installing, operating, and maintaining AV equipment.
  • Experience supporting live events, meetings, and classroom technology.
  • Experience using a help desk or ticketing system.
  • Availability to work scheduled evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily operational support for audiovisual and instructional technology in classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event venues.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving projectors, displays, monitors, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, presentation equipment, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Perform routine system testing, preventative maintenance, and equipment inspections to support reliable operation.
  • Complete minor installation and replacement work, including replacing projectors, monitors, cables, and adapters.
  • Document service requests, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment changes in the organization s ticketing or inventory systems.
  • Provide audiovisual support for events, commencements, conferences, meetings, and executive functions.
  • Coordinate with event organizers to confirm technical requirements and respond to issues during events.
  • Provide professional technical assistance to faculty, staff, students, guests, and event participants.
  • Assist users with classroom technology, presentation systems, conferencing platforms, and basic equipment operation.
  • Support departmental technology projects and emergency operations as assigned.

Nice to Have:

  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist Certification.
  • Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or Crestron Manufacturer Certifications.
  • Experience supporting audiovisual and instructional technology in a higher education environment.

Qualification And Education:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Audiovisual Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 2+ years of experience supporting professional or enterprise audiovisual systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
