Configuration Management TechnicianLocation: Bohemia, NY (Onsite 4 days/week, 1 remote)
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (some flexibility)

OverviewWe are seeking a driven and detail-oriented
Engineering Aide to support configuration management and engineering operations for a major aerospace program. This position is suited for individuals who are organized, collaborative, and eager to learn structured engineering processes and tools.
Candidates with an engineering foundation-whether gained through education, hands-on experience, technical projects, or similar backgrounds-are encouraged to apply. The team values initiative, communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support configuration management (CM) processes to maintain consistency across hardware, software, and system documentation.
- Assist in tracking and managing engineering documentation, design changes, and project assets.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to support accurate documentation and change control workflows.
- Learn and utilize CM tools such as Teamcenter, Macola EM10, or similar systems (training provided).
Qualifications- Background in engineering, technical documentation, systems, or related disciplines (via education and/or experience).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities for collaboration across technical teams.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, processes, and engineering workflows quickly.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with PLM/ERP/CM tools such as Teamcenter, Enovia, PDM, SAP, or Macola.
- Exposure to engineering change control processes or documentation management.
- Certifications in configuration management (e.g., CMPIC, CMII).
