Job Description:

Experience Desired: 12+ Years.

Qualification:

         The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and enterprise analytics platforms, with deep expertise in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse architecture. They should possess strong experience designing scalable data models, implementing enterprise-wide data governance, data quality, metadata management, and security frameworks, and building Power BI semantic models with advanced DAX optimization. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of cloud security, IAM, RBAC, CI/CD for data platforms, and Azure-native services, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Experience in retail, eCommerce, consumer goods, supply chain, or financial analytics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and own enterprise-scale Azure Databricks Lakehouse solutions using Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
  • Design scalable data ingestion frameworks using Fivetran, REST APIs, SFTP, CDC, and incremental loading strategies.
  • Develop canonical, dimensional, and semantic data models optimized for enterprise analytics.
  • Establish Power BI semantic modeling standards, including datasets, DAX measures, calculation groups, and composite models.
  • Define and govern enterprise KPIs, certified datasets, and metric versioning standards.
  • Implement enterprise-wide data governance frameworks covering data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
  • Configure and manage Unity Catalog for centralized metadata, RBAC, row-level security, auditing, and data lineage.
  • Define automated data quality validations, reconciliation rules, observability metrics, and monitoring processes.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks, jobs, and Power BI deployments across development environments.
  • Optimize platform performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query optimization techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, privacy, data classification, retention, and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve solution architectures, data models, and transformation logic developed by engineering teams.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to standardize KPIs, governance policies, and data quality initiatives.
  • Mentor data engineers, analysts, and technical teams on architecture, governance, modeling, and best practices.
  • Embed governance into the analytics platform through automated controls, secure access patterns, and enterprise data standards.
