Senior DevOps Engineer (Oracle Platforms)

Location: Hybrid (Minneapolis, MN) - 2 to 3 days onsite per week

Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead production application delivery, release management, and DevOps maturity initiatives across enterprise Oracle platforms. This role will serve as the primary owner of production deployments, CI/CD processes, release governance, and deployment reliability.

The ideal candidate is an Oracle-focused DevOps professional with strong release engineering experience, a deep understanding of Oracle technologies, and a passion for improving delivery processes and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage production application deployments and release execution activities.
• Administer and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting Oracle-based applications.
• Coordinate enterprise release schedules and deployment activities.
• Manage code promotion processes across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Establish and maintain deployment governance, standards, and best practices.
• Drive DevOps process improvements and operational maturity initiatives.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, observability, and deployment reliability capabilities.
• Troubleshoot deployment, release, and environment-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
• Support environment management and deployment orchestration efforts.
• Ensure stability, reliability, and consistency across enterprise application environments.

Required Qualifications

Oracle Technologies (Highest Priority)

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

• Oracle Database
• PL/SQL
• Oracle APEX
• Oracle Visual Builder
• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
• Oracle Cloud technologies

Note: Strong Oracle platform expertise is significantly more important than experience with a specific deployment tool.

Release & Deployment Management

• Experience owning production releases and deployment execution.
• Strong understanding of release governance and application promotion processes.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple environments and teams.
• Proven ability to maintain deployment stability and reliability.

CI/CD & DevOps

• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices and application lifecycle management.
• Ability to improve DevOps processes, standards, and overall delivery maturity.

Tools & Technologies

• Azure DevOps
• Git and source control management
• Branching and release strategies
• Deployment automation and orchestration tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Background as a Release Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Application Delivery Engineer supporting Oracle environments.
• Experience working within large enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to influence process improvements and establish best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
