About the Role
We are seeking an
Engineer II to support electric distribution reliability projects. This role focuses on analyzing distribution system performance, identifying reliability improvement opportunities, and developing engineering solutions that enhance power service reliability for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze electrical distribution circuits and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Perform power system studies, engineering calculations, and technical evaluations.
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, engineering recommendations, and project proposals.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate small engineering projects including design, permitting, procurement, budgeting, and contractor support.
- Interpret industry standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing engineering standards, specifications, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required for Engineer II title.
- Minimum 1.5+ years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power system studies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Background
- Utility, power delivery, transmission, distribution, or reliability engineering experience.
- Experience evaluating circuit performance using reliability metrics such as SAIDI and CAIDI.
- Exposure to project management, engineering design, and contractor coordination.
