What you'll do...
Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable platform capabilities and AI-driven applications. This role involves driving the full software lifecycle, applying cloud native architecture principles, and collaborating across teams to deliver resilient, maintainable solutions. You will influence technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities while fostering engineering excellence. Your expertise will support innovation, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality software that meets business objectives and enhances developer productivity.

About the team:
The team develops the Walmart Business app, focusing on small and medium sized businesses by delivering tailored features that meet their unique needs. Operating within a dynamic engineering organization, the team shapes the product roadmap and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to prioritize customer requirements. Embracing a startup mindset, the team leverages advanced Generative AI technologies to foster innovation and continuous improvement. This environment enables direct impact on product development and customer success while promoting technical excellence and agile delivery.

What you'll do:
  • Design and implement complex features in Walmart iOS or Android application.
  • Define roadmap for our team by working closely with product and / or technology partners to build the experience for iOS or Android platform.
  • Proficiency in iOS or Android platform and deeper understanding in CI/CD frameworks for iOS or Android to improve developer productivity.
  • Focus on Test Automation and designing the framework for same.
  • Provide documentation for all of the solutions in place.
  • Inspire best practices and create culture of craftsmanship and innovation.
  • Supports business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities; addressing high-priority initiatives (for example: technical feasibility, implementation alternatives).

What you'll bring:
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI tools into the ways of working of an engineering organization.
  • Expertise in Generative AI tools and techniques.
  • 5+ years of Mobile Engineering experience with iOS or Android.
  • Shipped one or more iOS or Android applications which are still available in the App Store.
  • Played Extremely Significant Role / Lead in delivery of complex projects.
  • Sound experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving capability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
  • Supports business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities; addressing high-priority initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
