Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 10900 NE 4th Street, Floor 8, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of software engineering plans; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Understand the business, stakeholder, and technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing software solutions to address the needs. Prepare requirement traceability matrix and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases. Contribute to the creation of user stories for components, modules, and simple requirements. Create and configure minimalistic code for entire software components and applications and ensure the software components meet business and technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages and software development standards and tools. Take the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), testing, or any other process. Implement telemetry features as required independently. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration. Map the customer requirements into test objectives. Identify and create test cases for the components and modules. Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component. Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on the testing needs. Track and analyze defects for the components and modules and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyze defects from past software engineering solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. Conduct complex maintenance procedures for software applications independently. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the software application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics. Perform maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Analyze software application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and analysis. Evaluate software change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills Required: Experience with Python development and object-oriented design. Experience with RESTFUL services and containers. Experience building and deploying infrastructure via Terraform. Experience writing quality software code. Experience creating accurate documentation and maintaining software functionality. Experience maintaining highly secure and reliable Cloud Infrastructure platform. Experience creating hybrid connectivity between OnPrem and Public Cloud virtual networks. Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle. Experience designing, planning, and governing PCI compliance and automation of processes. Experience troubleshooting business and production issues. Experience conducting root cause analysis of support issues for future reference. Experience configuring and monitoring system alerts. Experience tracking performance of all applications using monitoring tools including Grafana and Prometheus. Experience automating existing manual processes by converting them to self-service offerings using Python scripts and terraform. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $149,240/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
